When should the child be given space to solve it themselves? For each of the scenarios below, decide if it is a situation where the child owns the problem, the adult owns the problem, or it is a shared problem.\r\n<h3>Scenarios:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">A child doesn\u2019t want to take turns with a popular toy, and other children are upset.<\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">A child is refusing to transition to nap time, but the schedule requires it.<\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Two children both want to be the line leader and are arguing.<\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">A child keeps forgetting their lunchbox at school, and the parent is frustrated.<\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">A group of children is not cleaning up after art time, making it hard for the teacher to move to the next activity.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nFor one, where you think it is a clear situation where the problem ownership is shared, imagine and practice going through the steps of Collaborative Problem Solving to address the issue.\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Define the Problem Together.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>After the process of actively listening, how might the problem in this scenario be defined? The definition of the problem should be neutral and encompass the perspectives of all the participants.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<ol start=\"2\">\r\n \t<li>Brainstorm Possible Solutions.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>What could be some of the solutions that might come up from all participants?<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Evaluate and Choose a Solution.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>After weighing all of the possible solutions, what might be chosen as the best solution to try?<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Implement the Solution and Follow Through.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>What would be needed to implement the chosen solution?<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Reflect and Adjust if Needed.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>When and how might you check in on the progress of the chosen solution?
