The PEAR method provides a clear and practical framework for guiding listening interactions in a supportive and empathetic way. By paraphrasing what is said, encouraging continued sharing, paying full attention, and reflecting feelings, educators can strengthen communication, build trust, and support problem-solving. These guidelines help shift conversations from correction to connection, creating a foundation for positive guidance and mutual understanding.
